On the main street Sahki runs a people-smuggling agency. Fatima is the only woman who works at the markets, but she is a widow and her options are few. Sakina's husband is in detention in Austrlia and she is waiting to reunite with him there - her house has been bombed but she remains stoic amongst rubble. The Hazara are one of the most persecuted ethnic minorities in the world. For centuries they have been edged out of Afghanistan, and many have made a home on the edges of Quetta in Pakistan. The ghetto is nicknamed 'Hazara Town' and it is fast becoming an increasingly dangerous place to live, with target killings and suicide bombers threatening its inhabitants. Leaving is difficult, but staying is sometimes impossible.
'Hazara Town' is a Documentary based on the Hazara Afghanis living and leaving Pakistan. Currently in pre-production.
